Up until this point, it may have been difficult to find or connect with a therapist who understands your experience as a queer, trans, or non-binary person.

Getting help from a therapist with lived experience can be so helpful in your healing journey to free yourself from whatever may have been holding you back from living more authentically.  I’m a queer, non-binary, first generation Iranian American therapist who works from a LGBTQ+ affirmative, social justice oriented, anti-racist, and trauma informed lens. I believe that in order to feel at ease and live authentically, we need to heal our wounds. Sometimes this can be scary, but I’m here to guide you every step of the way at your own pace. I am gentle, compassionate, and deeply value building the connection between us in the therapy room on a human to human level.

I work best with teens and adults who have been experiencing depression, anxiety, PTSD, tension in relationships, are highly sensitive, or have people pleasing tendencies. I also enjoy helping people who want to further explore their sexuality and gender identity. When working with teens or young adults, I welcome family involvement to help build stronger connections.

My goal is to create a safe space to explore all aspects of your experience.

Whether you’re already out, exploring your gender and sexuality, or having difficulty sharing some parts of yourself with the world, I want to help you feel comfortable with yourself and create the life you envision living. We can explore all the hardships you have been through to help connect the dots around how they are affecting your current life and relationships. Through a combination of talk therapy, mindfulness, and somatic therapy techniques (EMDR and Compassionate Inquiry), we can work together to bring awareness to your mind, body, and spirit. Together, we can change thought patterns that may be holding you back from feeling joy and continue the healing process.

In addition to therapy, I provide immigration evaluations as a separate service to those who need help with their legal case. As a first generation Iranian American whose parents fled during the Iranian Revolution, I have a passion for helping other immigrant families rebuild a safer life.
